Medications 2.0

Effortless, efficient medication management and inventory.

Our development never stops. Constant improvement, based on our relationships with clients yields innovative, easy-to-use features that help you deliver better care.

Our new Medications 2.0 gives you complete flexibility in medication ordering, tapers, protocols, integrated COWs, CIWAs, Vitals, BP, Glucose, and integrated patient and/or facility inventory management; optional e-prescribe. Can your EMR do that?

Standard action orders reduce data entry

Medications 2.0 eliminates data entry for frequent orders, by simply storing any actions as a template. Set Action Orders as scheduled or PRN, with the ability to choose which actions appear as MARs/MedLog. It’s now faster and easier.

Create and change Tapers on the fly

With this new level of flexibility, staffers will spend far less time and effort in maintaining and revising schedules by hand

Medications 2.0

Customized Tapers

Create fully customized tapers, quickly, as you need them. Tapers can now be easily saved as templates for orders that you frequently use. Fast, simple adjustments to tapers include:

  • Adjust the dosing
  • Change the frequency
  • Revise the duration and start times
  • Add or subtract a day
  • Mark a single dose as PRN
  • Change orders on the fly without cancelling and starting over

Protocols: Now one-click ordering

Now with our new Protocols feature, you can build complete order sets, including medications and actions, scheduled or PRN–quickly and easily. An amazing time saver! In fact, the entire protocol can be added to the patient chart with a single click. Select a protocol and make adjustments on the fly, before adding it to the client chart.

Integrated COWS/CIWAS/Vitals/Glucose

With new Medications 2.0, you can easily chart COWS and CIWAS assessments directly in the doctor’s orders and MAR/MedLog, vitals, Glucose, height/weight directly from Doctor’s orders and Med Logs.. Each score is recorded in history for instant access. The system to keeps all data in a central location for fast, easy access.

New Efficiencies for MARS/Med Log

Newly organized for maximum usability, complete with sortable column headings for medication name, type, schedule and administration status — plus a dynamic search field to quickly locate what you are looking for.

Patients

Utilizing two forms of patient verification, photograph and fingerprint reader; CloudMD365 EMR utilizes their med pass program to generate action orders as prescribed by the physician. The med pass screen displays to the appropriate staff indicating who, when and at what time of day, medications and or action orders, such as changing a dressing or bandage, should be addressed.

Surescripts Certified

Through the use of the dashboard, doctors are able to view pending orders, individually or by group/location; assess patients, select medications and treatments from a standardized set of protocols loaded within the system or simply manually pick what is desired based upon the needs of the treatment. Upon completion, the system automatically renders the medical necessity statement, auto populated with all of the client’s information, insurance and demographics, utilizing ICD-10 codes for ease of billing later. It also automatically generates the prescription document via eScripts, again with all the information; which is sent via fax or electronically to the pharmacy.

Medication Management

Medication management is an area where CloudMD365 shines bright. We were built in a medical detox facility, for over a year, in what’s called “Agile Development”. That means we created CloudMD365 hand-in-hand with staff so that it works the way you do – you do not adapt to it. We have replaced “Big Expensive” EMR’s with CloudMD365 because they just do not understand the unique needs of addiction treatment. This is why we have hundreds of medical detox facilities using CloudMD365.

Orders can be entered by the appropriate staff and approved from any smartphone, tablet, remote laptop/PC, by your physician.

Orders are looked up against the FDA database screen for available dosages, potential contra-indications, and other factors.

Orders and PRN/Standing Orders can be saved and made available (tapers and regular prescriptions) for one button ordering later.

Orders can be sent to the pharmacy via fax as well as through the eScripts, e-prescribing network for electronic delivery (eScripts is an optional feature available in the CloudMD365 Marketplace).

Physicians can easily review and sign all pending orders attached to their user profile that require signature in the Physician Review Dashboard

Medication Inventory Management with Full Tracking Capability

Track and manage medication inventory from order to administration You have the flexibility to manage facility level medication inventory, patient specific inventory, or both directly in CloudMD365 EMR! Medication inventory is integrated with the Doctor’s Orders and MAR so that you can clearly see the stock levels at any time. As medications are observed or administered, CloudMD365 automatically reduces the quantity from inventory. You will be able to see real time inventory levels in both the Doctors Orders and the MAR.
